John Fogerty: In Conversation + In Song

"A visit to the EartH Theatre, Hackney, London on 18th June 2025 was a once in a lifetime opportunity that i grabbed with both hands. The event was an in-conversation and in-song event with John Fogerty to celebrate the release of his new album 'Legacy: The Creedence Clearwater Revival Years' available from August 2025. Firstly, sitting in the second row we were treated to a run through of 4 tracks from the forthcoming album which sounded excellent despite the original versions being fairly decent themselves. John had decided to re-record his great songs. And then the great man came on stage for a 45-minute conversation with Matt Everitt, discussing among other things his early childhood through to the Creedence years. John Fogerty and his family are very likeable and respectable people and it was a pleasure to be in their company as his family members sat to the side of the stage. And then three microphones were set up. John was joined by his two sons, Shane and Tyler and they strapped on acoustic guitars. They then proceeded to play 3 classic songs namely Have You Ever Seen The Rain, Bad Moon Rising and Proud Mary. Excellent! And then they were gone. The whole event over in less than 75 minutes but worth every penny. " Gary
