A brilliant night was had by all on Friday 20th September 2024 at an event staged by St. Edith Folk in the quaint village of Otford located within the parish of Sevenoaks, Kent. The venue was Otford Memorial Hall and the Crows played a 45-minute set in support of Man The Lifeboats, an 'alternative folk' band based in London. Playing a set of 11 songs of which 8 of them were from their latest album, Invisible Highway, the band received an excellent response from the 180-strong audience. Stepping up on bass guitar duties for the show was Neil Anzani, a band colleague of Chris' from over the years. Neil proceeded to slot in effortlessly with the band and laid down a solid rhythm alongside Craig who on this occasion was sitting behind the drum kit belonging to the Man The Lifeboats drummer who very kindly agreed to the arrangement which had arisen because of technical and logistical issues. We thank him for being so obliging.
Many thanks to Keith Stockman for booking the band, to sound engineers dBF SOUND who did a wonderful job and to the enthusiastic and appreciative audience in attendance on the evening.
