Ron Trueman-Border - R.I.P.

The sad news of the passing of Ron Trueman-Border in early August leaves a huge void in the singer-songwriter category within the south-east England region. Ron wrote and performed his songs with belief, integrity and honesty. One has to respect an artist who rides on the back of his own creations. His songs were catchy and intriguing and he had a live act, particularly with the wonderful Strangers in support, that was well worth the effort to attend.

Ron will be greatly missed as a live act but he has left a wonderful library of recordings that is well worth checking out. If Hank Williams had lived on then he could well have been R T-B - there is no greater accolade that can be bestowed upon him.
