When a band takes to the stage armed with songs from their own creation the task ahead to impress and win over the audience is much greater than the other option. With a prestige slot at a weather-hit Sandwich Folk and Ale Festival on Sunday 7th July 2024 The Old Country Crows with Bryan Orwell on keyboards and Dave Hatton controlling sound put on a show that pretty much encapsulated the whole essence of what the band and their songs aim to achieve when it comes to giving the listener a different experience and an alternative variation from the usual fayre. The songs that have been recorded with the usual studio assistance then have to be delivered in a live environment. Firstly, the songs have to be strong. Secondly, they have to be played and sung well on stage. At Sandwich Folk and Ale it all came together with the help of Bryan and Dave and the band appreciate the many kind words and messages received in the aftermath of the show. If the audience enjoy the show and take something away from it then the band has achieved what it set out to do. It makes all the time and effort that goes into producing a recording and everything else involved with the process all the more worthwhile. The support means so much and is very much appreciated and keep on listening!
