Original band member performs with the Crows for the first time since 2019

Appearing at Brogdale Cider Festival for the first time since 2022 The Old Country Crows performed a 22-song set to an appreciative audience on the centre stage on Saturday 23rd August. The band played without keyboard player Bryan Orwell who was unavailable for family reasons. However, in the audience was original band member Mark Griffiths mixing with the band's friends and families. So why not invite Mark up onto the stage with the band for his first live appearance with the Crows since 2019? Therefore, when song number 15 in the set, When I'm Down, came around the call went out and Mark duly accepted the offer with his usual enthusiasm. With the band firing on all cylinders a rousing version of the song was played and Mark slotted into his vocal parts with aplomb. Mark departed the band in 2021 when the pandemic was starting to relent. When I'm Down was recorded for the band's self-titled debut album released in 2013 and is regularlarly included in the band's current repertoire. The years were rolled back and a great time was had by all.
Brogdale Farm was buzzing for the weekend-long festival with many beer, cider and food outlets keeping everybody happy. There were many side attractions and a full live music calendar.
The Crows would like to thank Sarah from Brogdale Collections for booking the band, Josh the Sound Man who provided excellent sound and to the audience for their support and particularly those audience members who passed on their kind comments at the end of the show. It is all very much appreciated.
