Lion Fest 2024 for Demelza House Charity is a great success!
A wonderful night was staged at the Red Lion in Sittingbourne in aid of Demelza Charity, a charity that deliver extraordinary care to extraordinary children facing serious or life-limiting conditions, providing support for all the family, from first diagnosis and for as long as needed. When needed most, they'll be there, with care that doesn't back down. The Crows donated proceeds received from their cd sales and a donation box was passed around the generous audience.
The stage was set up in the outside patio area at the side and rear
of the Red Lion, surrounded by medieval buildings and it was almost expected that Henry VIII would come up and ask for a request!
Tremendous credit must go to Cheryl and Carl of the Red Lion for their hard work and organising the event which ran from Friday 26th July - Sunday 28th July 2024.
The Crows took to the stage on Friday 26th July to kickstart the weekend-long event and flew into a 22-song set plus an encore of the class song, Route 66. By then, the house was rockin' and a fantastic time was had by all in aid of a wonderful cause.
Setting up on the unique long, narrow stage
The final total raised over the weekend for Delmelza House Charity was £650.00 and The Red Lion, Sittingbourne have promised that the second Lion Fest will return in 2025 'bigger and better.' Well done to everybody that attended over the weekend.
