Crows head to the Leas Bandstand in Folkestone...

If the sun is shining then a great place to be on Sunday 4th June 2023 will be on the Leas in Folkestone at the Bandstand. The Old Country Crows are due to perform from 1 - 2.30pm as part of the Leas Bandstand Coronation Celebration. A beautiful Victorian structure, the Leas Bandstand hosts regular concerts throughout the summer season.

Its tent-shaped canopy supported by cast-iron columns provides shelter for the band, hopefully from the sun, while deckchairs are set out for audiences. A short stones-throw away is the historic Lea Cliff Hall, the scene of many performances by great bands and artists over the years.

A group of Folkestone residents and business folk, all volunteers, will again bring together a summer programme of events during 2023. The Folkestone Festivals committee presents an ambitious and exciting event schedule extending from June to September… all fun, all for the family and all free ! The Folkestone Festival group are all enthusiastic, committed, hard-working, volunteers who give many hours of unpaid time each week. Folkestone Town Council, Folkestone & Hythe District Council, Kent County Council, District and Town Councillors’ grants, various funding bodies, businesses and individuals all support our work in different ways to ensure a variety of events to be enjoyed by all.

This event is a celebration of the coronation of King Charles III on 6th May 2023.

We hope to see y'all on the day !!
