Crows back in the groove at Rochester Sweeps on Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May 2022...

The Old Country Crows, with new members Chris Pike on guitar and mandolin and bassist Tim Geer, return to the stage for the first time since September 2019 with two scheduled appearances at Rochester Seeps Festival on Monday 2nd May 2022.

The band have been busy riding the rehearsal horse and racking up the hours in the process. All credit must be given to Chris and Tim for their careful dedication in learning the Crow library of songs. As has been discussed many times before much more input has to be put into learning original material but if that happens then the results can be wonderful.

Along with Chris and Tim underpinning the rhythm section is drummer and percussionist Craig Wild. Craig recently celebrated six years with the band and his loyalty, dedication and input has been invaluable and has greatly helped to create a smooth integration into the band for Chris and Tim.

The band has been highlighting songs from the Behind The Rain CD and Listen To Me EP but, of course, room will be found for a few of the old favourites. Several songs from the above mentioned releases have yet to be performed live by the band and it will be great to play numbers such as Hand of Fate, Florida Sun, (I'll Get Along Just Fine) Without You and Not So Long Ago.

The Rochester Sweeps Festival is held all over the bank holiday weekend and is celebrating it's 40th Anniversary which should have been in 2020 but due to the pandemic will now be celebrated in 2022. Therefore, it is an honour for the Crows to be playing this year and we look forward to seeing you at the Castle Main Stage at midday and City Wall Wine Bar Stage at 3.45pm on Monday 2nd May 2022.
