'I saw Chuck Berry play Margate Winter Gardens on 17th September 1983. It was a show full of rock 'n' roll swagger. It was like experiencing the history of rock 'n' roll in front of your eyes. Walking out of the Gardens after the show i overheard a couple of blokes discussing Chuck and one of them said ''he must be at least 60.'' In fact he was only 57 ! On our road trip along Route 66 in 2007 the soundtrack of the journey was provided by, among others, the Traveling Wilburys, Simon and Garfunkel, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Hank Williams and Chuck Berry. Driving through the Ozark Mountains in Missouri to the sound of 'Maybellene' - well it does not get much better than that. So long Chuck and thanks for all the reelin' and a-rockin'.' Gary
