Celebrating 15 years of The Old Country Crows from 2010 - 2025

2025 marks the 15-year anniversary of The Old Country Crows and to celebrate in the coming weeks we will be trawling through the archives to unearth some long buried pictures and videos along with some tales of the road.
The band formed when Gary reconnected with old friend and ex-bandmate Mark Griffiths in September 2010. Gary had written some songs inspired by a 2007 trip along the iconic Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles. Another old friend of Gary's, this time from childhood, Ian Bottle, promptly joined on bass guitar duties and the Crows soon hit the road. These early songs along with some freshly-written compositions formed the track list for the band's eponymous debut album from 2013. Many of the songs from the album are regularly included in the band's current set list.
Our first trip back in time is to Live Sessions with Alan Hare from 8th April 2017. Alan is an absolute music aficionado and the band has appeared on his show on 4 occasions between 2012 and 2024. Despite having a full library of original songs the band are never adverse to performing a classic cover song and the Johnny Cash number entitled Cry Cry Cry was a regular feature of the band's repertoire from 2016-2019 and this rare live version show Gary, Mark, Ian and Craig putting their own stamp on this great song. Craig Wild, still beating the skins in the band rode into Crowsville in January 2016
