Brogdale Cherry Walks: Visit the National Fruit Collection in the peak of the cherry harvest season. Guided walking tours will be available all day with our expert and knowledgeable guides (no self-guided walks).
Sample the delights of the Kentish cherry at Brogdale this July with delicious cherries from the heart of the National Fruit Collection at Brogdale Collections. With over 400 varieties of cherries there are some intriguing histories, flavours and delights to taste. Sample the “Roundel Heart” cherry grown in Kent since the 1900s and bursting with a sweet flavour, or the “Kentish Red” sour cherry found in Kent since the 18th century or maybe even the usual “Donisssens Gelbe” a juicy yellow skinned cherry sure to stand out.
Discover the fruit filled orchards on a walking tour, Brogdale’s expert and knowledgeable guides will lead you on a journey through the fascinating orchards and their history.
On these special weekends only, visitors will be able to pick their own cherries straight from the tree. Limited access will be open for PYO cherries from our selection of heritage varieties. Fruit picked is charged by weight.
Bring a picnic and enjoy the day on a cherry farm in full harvest.
Brogdale has unlimited free parking, accessible toilets, a plant centre and café.
